Obituary
ELKHART — A. June Fisher, 91, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday, July 17, at the Elkhart Hospice House. She was born May 21, 1925 in Charleston, W.Va., to Herbert E. and Josephine B. (Covey) Young.
Surviving are two sons, Rev. Richard (Lois) Fisher of Fairlawn, Ohio and Rev. Mike (Ronnalee) Fisher of Elkhart. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Amanda (Dr. Bill) Wiley, Pastor Tim (Danae) Fisher, Shawn (Stacy) Fisher, Carisa Fisher and Pastor Drew (Emily) Fisher. She had 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emzy H. Fisher, and one brother, Glendolyn.
She attended Appalachian Bible College and enjoyed being a pastor's wife and leading children to Christ. Her friends considered her a great encourager and always full of joy. She was a member of Grace Bible Church in Elkhart.
A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the 6 p.m. celebration of life service Sunday, Aug. 7, at Grace Bible Church, 1700 Edwardsburg Ave., Elkhart. Everyone will be encouraged to share how June touched their lives with the love of Jesus. Pastor Mike Fisher will officiate.
Memorials will go to Appalachian Bible College through Grace Bible Church.
Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin Street, Elkhart, is entrusted with arrangements.
