ELKHART — Alice E. Drudge, 87, of Elkhart, passed away at 1:47 p.m., Friday, April 6, 2012, at the Golden Living Center in Elkhart after an extended illness.
She was born in Elkhart on Feb. 10, 1925, to the late Burton M. and Nettie (Rhodes) Signs. She married Harold A. Drudge on Dec. 20, 1946, in Elkhart, where he passed away in 1985. She was also preceded in death by six sisters and three brothers.
Surviving are her daughters Linda R. "Lin" (George) Cartwright of Bristol, Dixie L. (Jerry) Cason of Norman, Okla., and Donna K. Drudge of Fort Wayne; grandchildren Tori (Derrick) Lloyd, Marshal, Ashley and Shane Drudge and Colby and Eric Cason; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the 1 p.m. funeral service scheduled for Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at Billings Funeral Home in Elkhart. Pastor Larry Kurtz of Faith United Methodist Church of Elkhart will officiate and burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.

Alice worked in the oven department at Taylor Products for more than 30 years, retiring in 1986. She enjoyed sitting on her porch, reading and re-reading the Elkhart Truth and sipping on her coffee.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Humane Society of Elkhart County.
