ELKHART — Alexander A. Nemeth, 91, of Elkhart, passed away at 1:10 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at Elkhart General Hospital of natural causes.

He was born June 28, 1920, in South Bend to the late Michael P. and Ethel (Vargo) Nemeth.

He married Janis L. Bolenbaugh on May 5, 1951, in Teegarden. She passed away in 2007 in Elkhart.

Survivors include a brother, Michael (Barbara) Nemeth of South Bend; sister Elizabeth (Ernest) Horvath of Granger; granddaughter Danielle (Henry) Livous of Elkhart; and great-grandchildren Tyrell and Tuesday Livous.

A funeral service and burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at the chapel at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, 375 W. Cleveland Road in Granger. Elder Vicki Fireline of Elkhart's New Testament Bible Church will officiate, and military honors will be rendered by Osceola American Legion Post 308 and the U.S. Army Funeral Honor Guard. Al was a World War II Army veteran.
