ELKHART — Albert G. Miller, 84, of Elkhart, passed away at his home following an extended illness at 6:09 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6.
He was born Aug. 17, 1930, in Morehouse, Mo., to the late William A. and Addie (Couch) Miller.
On Nov. 21, 1965, he married Carlene F. Krathwohl, who passed away this past May in Elkhart.
He is survived by his children, Arvilla (Fred) Bogucki of Osceola, Shirley (Milo) Bowen of Etowah, Tenn., Pauletta Miller of La Paz, Donna Bachota of Elkhart, Charles (Debbie) Miller of South Bend, Glen Miller of Mottville, Mich., and John Miller of Bloomfield, Mo.; sisters Cartha Campbell of Elkhart, and Glenda Sue (Clifford) Causey and Carolyn Miller, both of Sikeston, Mo.; and 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Preceding Albert in death is his former wife Hazel Abernathy Miller; sisters Margaret Burlison and Dorothy Teal; brothers Buck, Marvin, Roy and Alburn Miller; and grandson Earl Proffitt.
Albert's life will be celebrated at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church, 63983 C.R. 15, Goshen, with visitation 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept 10, with visitation at 10 a.m. Pastor Michael Curton will officiate and burial will follow the services in Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart.

Albert was a lifelong farmer who also worked for several area manufacturing companies. He was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church for over 50 years and served as the youth Sunday school teacher and the song leader. He and his wife also had a nursing ministry for over 15 years, visiting and ministering to those who were in nursing homes.
