UNION, Mich. — Alan J. Pappas, 54, of Union, passed away Friday, June 20, at Elkhart (Ind.) General Hospital, following a sudden illness.
He was born in Elkhart on Sept. 17, 1959, to Franklin G. Pappas and Kathryn F. (Hakes) Pappas Campbell.
Surviving are his mother; daughter Misty (Patrick Fogle) Pappas of Hagerstown, Md.; siblings Jeffrey Pappas of Elkhart and Lori (Bill) Lee of Bristol, Ind.; and two grandchildren (with another on the way!).
He was preceded in death by his spouse, Anita Pappas, and his father.
In accordance with the family's wishes, no immediate service has been planned. Alan is to be cremated and buried in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, Ind., at a later date.
Arrangements have been placed under the care and direction of Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart.
Alan worked at several Michiana area RV manufacturing facilities over the years. He loved his dogs and spending time riding his Harley.
