Aimee D. Reed, 49, residing in Elkhart, passed away Thursday afternoon, February 20, 2020 at Elkhart General Hospital, surrounded by love, husband David and many family members. Aimee was born on May 26, 1970 in Waycross, Georgia to Daniel Morris Johnson and Barbara Ann (Wienhoft) Murray.

She married the love of her life, David A. Reed on February 19, 1993 in Elkhart. David survives, as well as her mother Barbara Ann Murray; two sons, Dylan Reed, David A. Reed Jr.; her loving siblings, Kim (Dennis) Gunden, Rick (Cathy) Murray, David Murray, Georgia Johnson and Danna (Adam) Harrison; she will be also missed by many nieces and nephews. And her beloved soul sister Susan I. Wicks. Aimee was sadly preceded in death by her father Daniel Morris Johnson.

Aimee loved books and reading, she enjoyed sports, especially watching tennis and cheering on the Notre Dame Football team. She liked NASCAR, with Jeff Gordon her favorite driver, most of all, her family and friends were the center of her life.

In honoring her wishes, cremation was chosen under the care and direction of Billings Funeral Home.

This summer near her birthday, the family will gather to celebrate her life. Donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
