ELKHART -- Adam Douglas Johnston, 28, of 324 W. Concord Ave., died at 12:32 p.m. Tuesday (March 20, 2007) at home.

He was born April 17, 1978, in Elkhart to Stephen D. and Debra L. (Swoape) Johnston.

He is survived by his mother, Debra L. Coody and Timothy J. Estes of Middlebury; his father, Stephen (Lisa) Johnston of Natchez, Tenn.; one sister, Ashley L. Coody of Middlebury; and four brothers, Jarrod D. and Justin C. Johnston, both of Natchez, Martin J. (Amy) Estes of Bristol and Michael E. (Katley) Estes of Elkhart.

Friends may call two hours prior to the noon Friday memorial service at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Pastor Mike Query of Grace Baptist Church, Elkhart, will officiate. Cremation has taken place.

Mr. Johnston was an assembler at KIK Industries of Elkhart, formerly Accra Pac. He enjoyed the outdoors and volunteering to "ring the bell" for the Salvation Army during the holidays. He also enjoyed electronics and was very adept at building and programming computers. He enjoyed playing wheelchair basketball in South Bend and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys. He was a 1996 graduate of Northridge High School and attended one year at ITT Tech for electronics.
