EDWARDSBURG, Mich. — Mr. Wayne Barrows Jr., 93, of Edwardsburg, Michigan, passed away peacefully of natural causes at Buchanan Meadows in Buchanan, Michigan, on Sunday, July 1, 2018.
He was born in Coldwater, Michigan, on April 17, 1925, to the late Wayne E. and Lucille (Keeslar) Barrows. He married Doris M. Kirchner on Feb. 11, 1951, in Crown Point. She passed in 2013.
Surviving are daughters Janet (Frank) Kujawa, Cathy Smith and Priscilla “P.K.” Miller; brother Robert “Bob” (Mary Jane) Barrows; four grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. He is preceded by sisters Wanda and Elenore, and a son, Buddy.
A memorial service will be held at Billings Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2018, with visitation at 10 a.m. Pastor Tim Sheets will officiate.
Wayne lived in the Edwardsburg area most of his life, and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Besides being a wonderful husband and loving father, He was also a local tool and dye maker for nearly 50 years and worked for Edwardsburg Schools as well as a maintenance man. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and being outdoors.
