Virginia Montagano Quarandillo, age 98 and only child of Josephine and Michael Montagano, joined her parents in heaven on April 30, 2019.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Arthur Quarandillo.
She is survived by her only child, Pamela Lauer, her two grandchildren Kristin Lauer, Paul (Lara) Lauer, and two great-grandsons Nicholas and Nathan. She is also survived by two cousins Muff and Jo who have been like sisters to her. Virginia and her niece Debbie Chris shared a special bond.
Virginia always enjoyed cooking great Italian dishes. She spoiled friends and family with her version of what most people know as Italian Wedding Soup. But her version was unique, especially the name which we all pronounce differently and have no idea how to spell. Her biggest passion was crocheting and knitting. She was known for the afghans she could whip up in a matter of hours and then give away to anyone who needed one.
The family would like to thank special friends Abigail and Donna, employees of GoldenLiving Center for the kindness and friendship they have shown to Virginia.
Per Virginia’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Immediate family will be with Virginia for reflection and prayer while in the trusting care of Billings Funeral home in Elkhart. To send condolences, please visit www.billingsfuneralhome.com
