Timmi D. “Tim” Stafford, 36, of Elkhart, was discovered passed away following a brave but extended battle with opioid addiction at the home of a friend on Friday, Feb. 9, 2018.
He was born April 16, 1981, in Elkhart, to James D. Stafford of Texas and Kathy (Edward) Haught Cook of Elkhart.
Surviving are his sisters, Micky (Andy Hamby) Stafford and Christina (Shannon) Hicks; brother Jimmy (Christina Bradshaw) Stafford; stepsisters Mandy, Elizabeth and Corie Cook; grandparents Harry and Dorothy Haught and Amelia Blenkin, and a host of loving extended family and friends.
Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart is honored to host Tim’s life celebration services at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, with visitation beginning at 5 p.m.
Pastor Gary Sheets of the Middlebury Community Church will officiate and cremation will follow the services.
Tim worked as a welder most of his adult life.
He was an accomplished artist and enjoyed drawing and designing body art and tattoos.
He had also received an associate degree at Indiana State University and had received several scholastic achievements including induction to the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and becoming a licensed horticulturist.
In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting and just being outdoors in general.
