GRANGER — Thomas Alan Lewis, 76, of Granger, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Creekside Village, Mishawaka. Thomas was born on May 10, 1942 in Coldwater, Michigan to the late William A. and Karolyn (Boice) Lewis. In addition to his parents, 2 brothers James and William Lewis preceded him in death. He married Sylvia Kujawski on August 28, 1965 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Edwardsburg. Surviving is his wife of 53 years, Sylvia; son John (Raigan) Lewis of, daughter Sheri (Michael) White; and 5 grandchildren. Thomas was a graduate of Purdue University and received his Master’s degree from St. Francis University in Ft. Wayne. Thomas worked with computers his entire career, and was a computer consultant for many businesses and companies over the years. He served in the U.S Navy as a Fireman E-3 on the Aircraft Carrier USS Lake Champlain from 1960 until his honorable discharge in 1962. He was a member of the American Legion Post 365 in Edwardsburg. He loved corvettes and cars; at one time he was a member of the Michiana Corvette Club.
Graveside Services for Thomas will be held at Noon Monday, October 8, 2018 at Edwardsburg Cemetery, Edwardsburg, MI. Reverend Bob Flickinger will officiate. Military honors will be rendered by the U.S. Navy Funeral Honor Guard and American Legion Post 365. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request memorials to the Edwardsburg American Legion. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart.
