Sloan R. Goss-Marbaugh

Sloan R. Goss-Marbaugh, 19, of Elkhart, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019 at the Center for Hospice Care in Elkhart, surrounded by friends and family. She was born on February 12, 2000 in Elkhart to JoAnn Goss.

She is survived by her mother, JoAnn and her loving husband, Austin Marbaugh, whom she married on Sunday, May 26, 2019. Also surviving are her sisters, Logan Washburn and Madison Goss; niece, Riley Beggs; mother-in-law, Kellie Arnett; her two best friends, Taylor Leal and Naomi Sandusky; and her animal friends, Jack the cat and Kylo the hedgehog.  

A celebration of life service will take place on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. with two hours of visitation prior, taking place from 5 – 7:00 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St, Elkhart. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the UPMC Liver Cancer Center, 3600 Forbes Ave. at Meyran Ave., Forbes Tower, Suite 8084, Pittsburgh, PA 15213 or Heartland Small Animal Rescue, P.O. Sloan was a very smart, beautiful, kindhearted, and free-spirited young woman. She graduated from Elkhart Memorial High School in 2018. She loved science and had plans to attend IU to become a cardiac/ thoracic surgeon. She had also worked as a team trainer at Culver’s for a few years. Sloan cherished her loving family and friends and she will be greatly missed by them all.
