UNION, Mich. — Scott A. Brockus, 57, of Union, passed away Friday, June 29, 2018.
Scott was born Dec. 29, 1960, in Dowagiac, to Raymond and Mary Ann (Nelson) Brockus.
He was an insurance agent for Farmers Insurance for the majority of his life.
He loved playing drums, dancing, singing and fishing.
He was a handyman and jack of all trades.
He was very proud of his service to the Navy, having served on the USS McInerney.
He also loved movies, especially Westerns and Hallmark originals, and he was a huge Notre Dame fan.
He is survived by his wife, Kelly Garrett; brother Kenneth (Catherine) Brockus; nephews Daniel and Andrew (Kimberly) Brockus; nieces Annette (Brandon) Miller and Genny (Elton) Hoffman; sister-in-law Wanda Brockus; and dear friend, Brian (Ila) Hodges.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Robert A. Brockus.
Memorial services for Scott will be held at Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart, at 2:30 p.m. July 6, with a visitation starting at 1:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
