Sandra Joan Shupert

GOSHEN — Sandra Joan Shupert, 68, of Goshen, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, at Courtyard Healthcare, surrounded by her loving family. 

Sandra was born, in Elkhart,  May 10, 1949, to Jerry and Cleo (Mann) Hayes. 

She married Randall Shupert on April 3, 1977, in Elkhart. Randy died Nov. 14, 2006. 

In addition to husband Randy, sons Michael A. Frost and John Frost Jr. and grandson Wesley Grandstaff preceded her in death. 

Surviving are three grandchildren, Cleo (Jacob) Collins, Justin Frost, Amber Grandstaff and two great-grandchildren, Adilynn Collins and Wes Grandstaff; three siblings, Betty (James) Mann, Jerry and Dennis Hayes; and special friends, Angel (Maria) Martinez and Mike Marsh. 

Sandra worked as an aide at various nursing homes in the area. 

When she had to go into extended care, she had many gifts and talents. 

She loved her stuffed animals, enjoyed making crafts, such as necklaces and bracelets. 

Sandra was well liked and loved by her many friends and staff at Valley View and Courtyard Healthcare. 

Family was important to her. 

Services celebrating Sandra’s life will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, at Billings Funeral Home. 

Friends may visit with the family starting at 4 p.m. 

The Rev. Zak Barry will officiate.  

Per her wishes, cremation was chosen and burial will take place at a later date in Little Pine Cemetery. Goshen. 

The family wishes to thank Sherry Grimm and Barb Walker of Walker Resources, for their help and assistance for Sandra over the years. 

Memorials may be given to Elkhart County Humane Society.
