Rosene Holliday Life Story

ELKHART — Rosene Lee Holliday, 80, of Elkhart, passed away at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Thursday, Nov. 22, 2018.

She was born in, Rosedale, Mississippi, Aug. 10, 1938, to the late Henry Lee and Marie (Hall) Lee Williams.

On Dec. 19, 1960, she married Arlandis Holliday in Elkhart. He preceded her in death along with their daughter, Brenda Lee, and several other loving family members.

Surviving are children Beverly (Bruce) Taylor, Kirk (Barbara), Jeffery, Eugene (Mella), Mark and the Rev. James (Betty) Holliday, Dorothy Sanders, Betty (Blease) White and Mearl Williamson; siblings Lorene Davis, Celia Danner, Barbara Kemp and Jesse (Ora) and Joe Williams; special friend, Bill Martin; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Canaan Baptist Church, 933 Fieldhouse Ave., Elkhart, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m.

Pastor McNeil Stewart will officiate and burial will take place in Rice Cemetery, Elkhart.

Services have been entrusted to Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Rosene worked in manufacturing for nearly 20 years, retiring in the early 1990s.

She was a member of Canaan Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time with her family.
