ELKHART — Roosevelt “Crayford” Davis Jr., 70, of Elkhart, passed away at Valley View Nursing Facility on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017.
He was born, in Sikeston, Missouri, Dec. 3, 1946, to the late Theodore and Oretha (Forrest) Davis.
Surviving are daughters Larinda Davis of Elkhart and Sonya Davis of South Bend; grandchildren Sydni, Sykia, Amyia and Adoniss; great-grandson Teon; and an auntie Ruth Chavis.
He was preceded in death by his son, Oscar “Big O” Davis and an aunt who passed on the same day in August.
Crayford’s family is hosting a memorial service at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at the Tolson Park Center, 1300 Benham Ave., Elkhart.
Billings Funeral Home has been assisting with cremation arrangements.
Crayford retired from Vincent-Bach in Elkhart in 1993 after 15 years on the job.
Determined to make the most of his life, he was best known for his love of family and friends and always having something to say about everything.
