Ronald L. Paulus

ELKHART – Ronald Lowell “Ron” Paulus, 70, of Elkhart, passed away Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka.

He was born Nov. 22, 1947, in Cheboygan, Michigan, to the late Lowell and Helen (Ruple) Paulus. He married Christina Bosse on June 21, 1969, in Elkhart.

Ron worked for Coachmen RV for over 10 years. He was a motorcycle enthusiast. He liked target shooting, camping, traveling, and going to the casino or anywhere that had games of chance. He loved to try new places to eat. He also loved to drive, especially when his grandchildren were along for the ride.

He is survived by his wife, Chris Paulus; daughters Tina (Paul) Groppe and Susan (Vinai) Vorasane; grandchildren Shane Groppe, Alexander Vorasane and Linda Saokho; sisters Cheryl (James) Morauski and Judy Young; and various nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Gary Paulus; and his son, Patrick Lowell Paulus.

A gathering of friends and family will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron’s memory can be made to the American Diabetes Association or The National Kidney Foundation.
