Robert "Bob" D. Windsor, DDS

Robert “Bob” D. Windsor, DDS, 67, of Middlebury, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at the Center for Hospice Care in Elkhart. He was born on December 22, 1951 in Elkhart to the late Richard L. and Esther J. (Emmons) Windsor.

He is survived by his life partner, Debra Taylor, and his sons, Robert Windsor II, Michael Windsor, and David (Rebecca) Windsor. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Skyler and Wesley Windsor; brother, Richard (Marjorie) Windsor of Hartford City, IN; and former wife, Gayle Windsor.

In accordance with Bob’s wishes, cremation will take place at Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Elkhart. A private celebration of life gathering will take place at a later date. There are no services at this time. Bob was a hardworking, caring, and compassionate man who was dedicated to his profession as a licensed dentist. He graduated in 1978 from Indiana University School of Dentistry and went on to develop his own place of practice in Middlebury for 30 years prior to retiring in 2008. He later returned to dentistry after retirement from 2010 to 2017 when he worked for Healthy Beginnings in Elkhart. Bob was an avid IU Hoosier basketball fan and would never miss a game. He loved his family most of all and he will be missed by those he has positively impacted.
