BRISTOL - Mr. Robert F. “Bobby” Eppert, Jr., 66, of Bristol, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, Nov. 26, 2018 following an extended illness.
He was born in Elkhart on Oct. 22, 1952 to the late Robert “Bunk” and Norma (Bauman) Eppert, Sr. and leaves behind his former spouses and friends Wendy and Sandra Eppert.
Also surviving are children Amy (Sinuhe) Pena, Angela Eppert, Crystal Taylor, Robert (Juli) Eppert, Corey and Tyler Eppert; grandchildren Jimmy and Sierra Wilder and Adam (Amanda) Strycker, great grandchildren James Wilder, Gavin Butler and Adley Strycker; sisters Nancy Miller, Roseanne (Michael) Wiedeman and Jacqueline Hipsak, his step-mother Debbie Eppert and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a grandson Matthew Butler, brother Richard Eppert and two brother-in-law Chief Jerrold “Jerry” Miller and Charles “Chuck” Hipsak.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at Billings Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Elkhart on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018 at 7:00 pm, with visitation beginning at 4 pm. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place following his services.
Bob worked in the local van conversion industry for nearly 30 years, retiring in the late 2000’s. He was an avid and talented woodworker, and thoroughly enjoyed spending time in his wood shop using his skills to make toys and keepsakes for his family. His loving and easy-going nature will be missed dearly by family and friends alike.
Memorial donations may be given to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
