Nancy Doncilovic

Nancy Ann Doncilovic, 62 of Elkhart, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018 at her ranch home following a courageous battle with cancer. She left this world leaving behind her spirit of loving, caring and sharing commitment to all who knew her, and that spirit remains alive within her beloved family.

She was born in Mishawaka on June 6, 1956 to Robert Wilma and Marilyn (Von Baden) Behner who both survive her. She later married Michael J Doncilovic in Mishawaka on June 23, 1983. He remains the love of her life after 35 wonderful years together.

Also surviving is her daughter Katie (John “JD”) Steinmetz; grandchildren Jade and Brant Steinmetz; sisters Cathy (Michael) Owen and Cheryl (Ken) Cyman; mother-in-law Helen Doncilovic; brothers-in-law Randy (Stephanie) and Jeff (Julia) Doncilovic; 9 nieces and nephews and 7 grand nieces and nephews.

In accordance with her wishes, a celebration of Nancy’s life will take place at her Elkhart home on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018 from 3-7 pm. Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.

Nancy was a1974 graduate of Mishawaka High School. She and her husband Michael have owned and operated Tom’s 24 Hour Towing for over 35 years. Her sanctuary was her home, which she loved and appreciated dearly, and her passion was to share that home, her animals and her pool generously with her family and friends, as pool parties and bonfires were the norm throughout the summer. Her grandchildren meant everything to her, and memories of time spent together will not be soon forgotten. She will be best remembered for her warm smile and gracious hospitality.

Memorial donations may be given to the Humane Society of Elkhart or to the Center for Hospice Care.
