Nancy M. Bair

ELKHART: In loving memory of Nancy M. Bair, 81, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Elkhart General Hospital. Nancy was born on May 19, 1937 in Chicago to Walter and Hellen Taggart. Nancy is survived by; three  daughters,  Paula and Roger Smith and their children, Angela, Michelle, Crystal, Roger and Jamie, Gina and Dennis Cates and their children, Ricky, Chris, Dakotah, Bailey, Lucas and Breonna, Colleen and Carlos Ruiz and their children, Chelly, Nancy “Pebbles” , Jaubre, Pacino and Chelsea; three sons,  Walter Bair and his children, Shawna, Stephanie, Walter Jr., Joshua, Shannon, Joel and Kelly Bair and their children, Heather, Breezzie, Joel Eric, Zachary and Courtney, and Shawn Bair and his children, Shawn Walter, Siearra, Joda, Destiny, Danny and Bethany.

Nancy was full of life. There was nothing she loved more than her kids and grandkids, but selling Avon ran a close second. She lived a very full life, with heartache and overwhelming happiness. Nancy will be deeply missed.

She worked over 30 years with handicapped and emotionally impaired children with ADEC and Elkhart Community Schools. She served as a Corpsman in the US Navy from 1955 until her honorable discharge in 1956. In accordance with her wishes, cremation was chosen under the care of Billings Funeral and Cremation Services.
