Monica Ott Life Story

Monica P. Ott, 74, of Elkhart, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019, at her home to be with her loving husband, Keith E. Ott, who preceded her on January 30, 2018.  She was born on May 22, 1944 in Greenville, Texas to the late Robert and Ruth (Garvin) Stevens.

She married Keith Ott on May 24, 1965 and spent 52 wonderful years together. Monica is survived by three daughters, Madonna (Roger) Dickson, Rebecca (Wayne) Stewart, and Pamela (Scott) Wineland; six grandchildren, Casandra, Timothy, Michael, Johnathon, Marilyn, and Scarlet; 9 great grandchildren, six sisters, Becky, Pam, Ann, Rita, Chris, and Margaret; and a brother, Saul Stevens. She is preceded by her parents, husband, brothers Silas, Paul, and Robert Stevens, and her lovable cat, Posse.

A private burial will take place at a later date. Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may go to Pet Refuge, 4626 Burnett Drive, South Bend, IN 46614.

Monica was a homemaker for most of her life and attended Trinity Praise and Worship Assembly in Elkhart. One of her favorite past times was reading, playing cards with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and she loved to teach them how to cheat at cards. Spending time with her loving great grandchildren was something she enjoyed the most. Monica will be dearly missed by her loving family.
