Mary L. “Mae Mae” Gould, 60, of Elkhart, passed away to be with the Lord on Christmas Day, December 25, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 5, 1959 to the late Willie Gould and Alice (Fry) Gould, who survives at home.
She is also survived by her daughter, Erica (Bobby Howard) Langon; son, Keith (Angela Metty) Wilson; grandchildren, Savannah Langon, Xzavier Morgan, and Jamaria Alexander; special friend, Eric Langon; brothers, Willie (Lisa) Gould, Dennis Gould, and Robert (Flo) Gould; sisters, Annie Nollie and Queen Gould; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mary is preceded in death by her father, a brother, a sister, and a granddaughter.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. with a service to follow at noon with Reverend Tony Bennett of New Jerusalem Baptist Church officiating at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Elkhart. Cremation will follow services. Memorial donations may go back to Erica Langon and Mary’s grandchildren directly.
Mary worked as a sales associate for Goodwill Industries and had attended both New Jerusalem Baptist Church and Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church. Anyone who knew Mary would say that she was a wonderful person and that she was the best cook around. Her specialty recipes were baked macaroni and cheese and peach cobbler. Mary will be missed greatly by her loving family and many friends.
