Margaret A. “Peg” (Sittler) Trobaugh, 93, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday morning, June 1, 2019 at the Center for Hospice Care, Elkhart Campus. Peg was born on August 14, 1925 in Niles, Michigan to the late Harold and Freda (Kaiser) Sittler. In addition to her parents, husband Maurice Trobaugh, sister Jean Wilson and a brother Richard Sittler; niece Cathy Walker and nephew Andy Wilson preceded her in death.
Surviving is a niece Ann Lee Wilson (Richard) Williams; great nieces, Sara Shaw, Marisa VanDerMeer, great nephew, Taylor Wilson and many great nieces and a great nephew; a granddaughter by marriage Wendy Hall; and many longtime friends and her large church family.
Margaret was the former owner of The Lamp Gift Shop. She was a longtime member of St. John’s United Church of Christ and was a volunteer for the Ruthmere Museum in Elkhart.

Friends may call for 1 hour prior to the 11:00 am Thursday, June 6, 2019 funeral service for Margaret at the Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Elkhart. Pastor Laura Doty will officiate. Burial will follow at Rice Cemetery. Memorial donations are requested to the church and the Center for Hospice Care for their excellent care for Margaret and her family
