ELKHART — Lori Li Ruppert Strang, 42, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at Elkhart General Hospital.
Lori was born Nov. 6, 1975, in Elkhart, to William and the late Randi (Ruppert) Schooley.
She graduated Elkhart Central High School in 1994 and from the nursing program at Ivy Tech in 2006.
She was a home healthcare nurse at Maxim Health Care for more than 10 years.
An avid Boy Scout Leader for more than 10 years, she lived and breathed scouting as well as nursing and her family.
She enjoyed participating in 4-H with her children.
Lori is survived by her sons, Noah Fordyce, Jakob Strang and newborn Remmier Moseng; stepchildren Zach Strang, Casey, Zara, Lohgun and Kamlyn Moseng; fiancé Michael Moseng; father and stepmother, William and Helen Schooley; sisters Lisa (Keith) Martin and Leslie Bowen; cousin Josh (Heather) Schooley; nieces and nephews Billy, Flo, Matias, Jaylen, Kinsley, Michelle, Emily, Elijah and Ethan.
She was preceded in death by her son, Gage; husband Ed; mother Randi; grandmother Maxine; and her sister-in-law, Deedee.
Pastor Dave Lade and the staff of Billings Funeral Home in Elkhart are honored to host Lori’s memorial service at 6 p.m. Thursday March 22, with visitation beginning there at 4 p.m.
Memorials may be given to the Histiocytosis Association (Histio.org) or to the American Heart Association.
