ELKHART — Julie Ann McGhan, 72, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at her home, surrounded by God’s love and her family. Julie was born on July 25, 1946 in South Haven, Michigan to the late Irving W. and Ruth (Bryant) Willis. She married Ken D. McGhan on January 11, 1975 in South Haven, Ken survives, as well as 7 children, Kimberly McGhan, Brad (Melissa) Willis, Brian (Elaine) Willis, Michael (Connie) Benner, Carrie Ann (Marvin) Dausman, Adam McGhan and Abby(Brad) Bell; 21 loving grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; her sister Lurline (Kingsley) Sears. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Phillip and Jerry.
Julie was a loving wife, mother and grandma. Her life was caring for her family and heart for all children. She was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church, where she was active in the children’s ministry and programs; she also sang in the choir and played piano. She also enjoyed traveling and visiting new places with Ken. A special thanks to her nurse Mary from Goshen Hospice for taking such wonderful care of our mom.
Services celebrating the life of Julie Ann McGhan will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Calvary Assembly of God Church. 1010 East Mishawaka Road. Elkhart. Pastor Brian Whidden will officiate. Per her wishes, cremation was chosen. Arrangements are under the care of Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart.
