John S. Mullins

ELKHART - Mr. John S. “Johnny” Mullins, 50, of Elkhart, was found passed away Monday, April 2, 2018 at 11:06 am.

He was born Aug. 06, 1967 in Charleston, WV to the late Carlos Mullins and Remona (Knight) Mullins, who survives him. 

Also surviving are his children Addison and Brett Mullins; siblings Lisa (Brian) Hassett and Paul (Amanda) Mullins; his significant other Tory Cobb-Taylor; his former spouse and mother of the children Mary Wambaugh and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart will be hosting Johnny’s life celebrations, beginning with a viewing on Sunday, Apr. 8, 2018 from 1-5 pm. Funeral services will follow there on Monday, Apr. 9, 2018 at 6:00 pm, with visitation beginning at 5 pm. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will follow the services.

John had a degree in internal technology (IT) but he had also been a warranty specialist in the RV industry for several years. Johnny’s love, however, was entertaining his friends and the patrons, as a DJ at “My Dad’s Place” Bar, in Elkhart. He enjoyed music, singing and being in the middle of those whom he loved. His familiar face and magnetic personality made him instantly recognizable nearly everywhere he went, and he loved his ability to connect with people and make them laugh. He also was a huge fan of the Cowboys, Notre Dame, and musically, The Beatles. He loved his family dearly and he was very proud of his son and daughter. 

The family has requested that memorial donations be given to Johnny’s Youcaring account on Facebook.
