Jerry H. Struble, 90, of Goshen, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 14, 2019 at his home. Jerry was born on May 2, 1929 in Millersburg to the late Harold and Cornelia (Duma) Struble.
He married Jeri Elizabeth Waterman on June 21, 1953 in Elkhart. He was her loving caregiver until she passed away on April 30, 2019 after 65 wonderful years of marriage.
Surviving are his daughters Cathie (Steven Lisi) Struble, Cindie (Jeff) Dale; grandsons Joshua (Krystal) Dale and Chad Dale; 4 great grandchildren and brother-in-law Harold Waterman Jr.
Preceding him in death is his sister-in-law Sharon Waterman.
Jerry worked as a sales engineer at Versatile Tool & Die for 20 years, retiring in 2017. He served in the United States Navy and was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Goshen. He was a member of Kane Masonic Lodge #183 F & AM, Maplecrest Country Club in Goshen and was a referee with the IHSAA for many basketball, football and college games.
Jerry’s life will be celebrated at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. on Thursday June 20, 2019 with visitation beginning at 4 pm followed by a service at 7 pm. Rev. Larry Biller of St. James will officiate. At 7:00 pm., military honors by the U.S. Navy Funeral Honor Guard and DAV #19 will be rendered. Per his wishes, cremation was chosen. He will be laid to rest next to Jeri at Rice Cemetery at a later date.
