Elma Jean (Sedam) Stewart

ELKHART: Elma J. (Sedam) Price-Stewart, 97,  left this earthly home peacefully on Friday, August 16, 2019 to join her family and friends who awaited her in heaven. To her family she was a devoted and loving Wife, Mother, Aunt (a.k.a. Auntie Elma), Grandmother, Great Grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was born December 23, 1921 to Ernest and Dorothy (Crabb) Sedam in Culver, IN.  She married Max L Price in Plymouth, IN. who preceded her in death in 1956.  They together were the proud parents of three beautiful daughters and three wonderful sons.

She later married Willard (Stu) Stewart and they lived most of their married life in Phoenix, AZ having moved back to Elkhart, IN in the late 1980’s. She was preceded in death by her husband Willard Stewart, her parents Ernest & Dorothy Sedam, brother Dennis Sedam, sons Dennis Price, Dick Price, Jim Price, daughter June Ann Price, son-in-law Jim Mucha and daughter-in-law Mary Lou Price.

She is survived by her two loving daughters; Mary Lou Mucha of St Louis, Joanna (Bob) Arber of Euless, Texas, twenty grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren; all of whom she loved and prayed for daily. She was a member of Grace Bible Church Elkhart, IN.  

Services will be at 11:00 am. Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin Street, Elkhart. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5-7 pm. Wednesday, August 21, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Rice Cemetery.
