Elizabeth A. Hill

Elizabeth Ann Hill, 79, residing in Elkhart, passed away Monday evening, September 24, 2018 at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born on October 9, 1938 in West Chester, Pennsylvania to the late Barton and Ruth (Sasser) Sitterson. She married Thomas S. “Tom” Hill on July 8, 1961 in Aiken, S.C. Surviving is her husband of 57 years, Tom; four children; Douglas (Irina) Hill of Brooklyn, N.Y., Stephen M. Hill of Florence, S.C., Thomas F. Hill of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Bethany J. (Jim) Wilcox of South Bend; two grandchildren Roman Voloshina, Haley Wilcox and a great granddaughter Remi Kay Aguilar-Moore; also surviving is a brother James (Delores) Sitterson of Greenville, S.C., sister Linda Ewing of Florence, S.C.;   niece Valerie (Robert) White of Chapin, S.C., two great nephews, Parker and Payton, niece Jan (Jeff) Looper of Columbia, S.C., and a great niece, Allie.

Elizabeth received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina, and proudly became a Registered Pharmacist.  She retired from the Elkhart K-Mart Pharmacy on South Main St.

Elizabeth was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She was a caring homemaker who enjoyed raising her four children and proudly supporting their many activities. She was a huge animal lover, and supported any causes involving animals or kids. In her early life, she and Tom raised and showed German Shepherd dogs. She also loved having flowers around for every season, shopping at Hearts Desire and spending time with her family.

Services honoring the life of Elizabeth Ann Hill will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 29, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Visitation with the family will start at Noon. Per her wishes, cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request memorial donations to the Susan G.
