Uncle Don was kind, gentle and wonderful. What I remember best is when the "girls" vs. the "boys" baseball game at Grandma & Grandpa Heiman's house, Uncle Don would catch whatever balls the girls would hit and throw them WAY OUT in the barnyard so we could get one person on base.
