Devin Carl “Bud” McDaniel, 55, of Elkhart, passed away unexpectedly, at Select Specialty Hospital, in Battle Creek, Michigan, Monday, Nov. 5, 2018, following a sudden illness.
He was born Dec. 16, 1962, in South Bend, to the late Carl McDaniel and RoseMary (Sherwin) McDaniel who survives him in Bristol.
Bud was a purchasing agent for the local RV industry for nearly 20 years.
He also owned and operated a café bakery, as well as a 50-acre farm in Dowagiac, Michigan.
Later he was employed as an environmental specialist at Woodlands Behavioral Healthcare Network in Cassopolis, Michigan, where he served as an advocate for the disabled and handicapped; as well as volunteered for hospice and some area nursing homes.
He enjoyed using his digital devices for research and personal finances, working on home improvements for his family and friends, and visiting and attending local historical places and events.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and interment will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Bristol at a later date.
