ELKHART - Debra Sue “Deb” Mayberry, 65, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully at the Center for Hospice care, with her family at her side following an extended illness on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 1:15 pm.
She was born May 26, 1953 in Jonesboro, IL to Paul F. Mayberry and Geraldine “Gerry” (Zetzsche) Mayberry.
Surviving are her children, Misty (Brandon) Mayberry, P.J. (Cristina) Mayberry, Doug (Tina) Ryman and Glenn Deyong; grandchildren, Kelby, Shandon, Cheyenne and Nathan Mayberry, Jasmine and Nayeli Jimenez, Taylor and Blayne Ryman, Ariana (Antonio) Jiminez-Olvera and Kagen Ryman; also three great grandchildren; and her mother, Geraldine “Gerry” Mayberry.
She was preceded in death by her father Paul F. Mayberry and her grandparents.
Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart will host Deb’s celebration of life services on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 5-8 pm. Services will follow on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 11:00 am with visitation beginning one hour prior. Burial will follow at Olive East Cemetery in Elkhart.
Deb worked for D&S Totally Mobile truck repair service in Elkhart for over 14 years and had served the Osolo and surrounding townships as an EMT for Osolo EMS and Tri-County Ambulance for over 20 years. She enjoyed riding her Harley, detailing cars and swimming in the summertime, but her main focus was on her family, especially her grandchildren, and she tried to never miss any of their events or games. Deb was also a devout patriot, and whole-heartedly supported veteran-related organizations such as the Gold Star Mothers, Jessie’s Warriors and the Patriot Guard, just to name a few.
