A service officiated by Pastor Tim Fisher of Crossroads Community Church of Goshen will follow at 6 p.m.
In accordance with his wishes, Dave will be cremated following the services.
Dave was a dedicated over-the-road truck driver for more than 37 years, hauling parts of America across the country one trailer load at a time.
He had worked for several companies throughout his career, and was employed by D.R. Smith of Akron, Indiana, at the time of his passing.
When he wasn’t behind the wheel, he cherished time spent with his family and grandchildren, being outdoors and mowing his lawn, of which he displayed fanatical perfection.
Friendly and approachable, Dave never knew a stranger, especially if it had four legs and a wagging tail.
He absolutely loved his dogs and would always carry dog treats with him in case he made a new friend on the road.
Memorial donations may be given to Crossroads Community Church or to South Bend Animal Control.
