GOSHEN — David Allen Anglemyer, 18, of Goshen, passed away at 5:50 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012, on C.R. 20, just east of Pleasant Plain Avenue. He and a friend, Daniel L. Runion, died after being struck by a car while riding their bikes together.
David was born Nov. 19, 1993, in Goshen.
Survivors include his mother, Kelly D. Hackler of Goshen; father Robert L. (Carol) Anglemyer Jr. of Jones, Mich.; three sisters, Crystal Hackler of Goshen, Jessica Anglemyer of Warsaw and Tiffany Anglemyer of Goshen; stepsister Christa VanOoteghem of Niles, Mich.; paternal grandparents Robert L. (Sharon) Anglemyer Sr. of Goshen and Geneva (John) Johnloz of Elkhart; and maternal grandparents Kenneth and Betty Hackler of Goshen.
David was a member of Memorial High School and Constantine High School bands, where he was a drummer. He enjoyed camping, playing baseball and writing poetry. David was very gifted at repairing everything from lawnmowers to VCRs. He had a loving sense of humor and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today, June 14, 2012, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Pastor Karin Baker will officiate. Interment will follow in Little Pine Cemetery, Goshen.
