She was born, in Elkhart, Sept. 14, 1951, to her late father Cecil Comadoll Sr. and late mother and stepfather Barbara (Glen) Wogoman Bowen.
Surviving are her daughters, Melissa (Wilbur) Sloop, Brandi (Jason) Newman and Mindy (Tim) Kirts; brothers Daniel and James (Eva) Comadoll; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Connie was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil Comadoll Jr., and great-granddaughter Kynzleigh Evans.
While the family is honoring Connie’s wishes to be cremated, a memorial gathering of friends and family will take place at Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, June 8, in order to celebrate Connie’s life.
Connie worked for many years in the hospitality and retail business, retiring recently from a 10-year career at the Dunlap Walmart.
An avid animal lover, she leaves behind her beloved dog Patches and cat Dusty, as well as a virtual fleet of aquarium fish and other aquatic creatures.
In her free time, she loved to make jewelry and bracelets to give to her friends, family and co-workers, and listen to all types of music; everything from Elvis and Conway Twitty to AC/DC and Led Zepplin.
She was a caring lady who never knew a stranger and will be best remembered as one who instilled strength and dignity within those she loved most.
Memorial donations can be given to the Humane Society of Elkhart County.
