Clayton Lonnel Holyfield, 40 of Goshen, Indiana, formally of Hattieville, Arkansas, passed away on May 17, 2019 at his home. He was born on September 26, 1978, in Mishawaka, to Bob and Betty (Jones) Holyfield. He is survived by his wife Stephanie Renee’ Hunter Holyfield and their son Hunter David Delayne Holyfield; parents, Bob and Betty Holyfield of Hattieville, Ark.; brother, Delayne Holyfield of Hattieville, Ark.; sister and brother-in-law, Karla (Holyfield) and Dallas Evans; three nephews ,Hudson, Liam and Bekham Evans, of Mansfield, Texas; brother-in-law, John David Hunter; father-in-law and mother-in-law Johnny and Joann Hunter; papaw Eugene Hunter all of Middlebury, Ind.; his sister-in-law Billie Williams and her children, Chelsey, Brianna, Bryson and Braydyn all of Russellville, Ark.; niece and nephew Alexis and Austin Smith of Solgohachia, Ark. and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Clayton received his license to minister with the Assemblies of God in 2003. His ministry will be remembered as one who takes Christ to the school, marketplace, workplace and with all others who come across his path. He was also a caregiver and a landscaper. Clayton will be remembered as one who put his heart and soul into the Hattieville Family Worship Center Church. He was an amazing son, brother, husband, daddy, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He was a soul winner for his Lord Jesus Christ; “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise” Proverbs 11:30. “But one thing I do: Forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus” Philippians 3:13-14. “I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth” Psalm 121:1-2.
A Celebration of life service for Clayton will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation 1 hour prior at the Radiant Life Church, 2936 Lillian Ave., Elkhart, IN 46514. Pastor John Utley will officiate. A dinner will follow the service. Local arrangements for Clayton are under the care of Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart
Additionally, a visitation and Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 25, 2019, Visitation 10:00 am and Funeral Service at 11:00 am at Hattieville Family Worship Center, 26 Hwy 213, Hattieville, AR, 72063. Stephanie Holyfield, Chaplain Bob Holyfield, Karla Evans, Johnny Hunter and Betty Holyfield officiating. Burial will be at Robertstown Cemetery, Jerusalem, AR. Arrangements are entrusted to Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton, Arkansas
