Charles Soard Life Story
ELKHART — Charles W. “Chuck” Soard, 63, passed away Monday, March 26, 2018, at Center for Hospice Care, with his loving family at his side.
Chuck was born Dec. 5, 1954, in Kewanee, Illinois, to the late Leslie and Joan (Brush) Soard.
He is survived by his two daughters, Nicki (Steve) Kucala and Jennifer (Mike) Albright; two grandchildren, Adam and Tyler Schumacher; sister Sally (Jack) Schwerha; girlfriend Terrie Bailey; and will be missed by his grand fur babies.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Doug Soard.
Chuck was a graduate of Elkhart Memorial High School.
He worked at Valley Machine and as an assessor for the Elkhart County Assessor’s Office.
He loved to ride his Harley and sing karaoke.
Services celebrating Chuck’s life will be at 6 p.m. Friday, March 30, with visitation with his family one hour prior, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart.
Pastor Sam Needham of Trinity UMC will officiate.
Per his wishes, cremation was chosen.
