ELKHART — Brenda C. Poff, 76, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully at Riverside Village, Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018.
She was born in Goshen, March 11, 1942, to the late Everett Vance and Opal (Sark) Vance, who survives her.
She married Rayburn “Ray” Poff in Millersburg in 1962. He preceded her in 2017.
Surviving are sons Matthew (Sylvia) and Jared (Becky) Poff; grandson Dustin Darby; siblings Barbra (Allen) Postma, Beverly (Steven) Butt and Blaine (Jane) and Brian (Stacey) Vance.
Brenda’s life will be celebrated at Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart, Friday, at 1 p.m., Nov. 30, with visitation beginning at 11 a.m.
A member of the congregation of the Elkhart North Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses will officiate and burial will follow in Prairie St. Cemetery.
Brenda was a special needs bus aide in the Concord school system for nearly 10 years, retiring in 2004.
She was a very talented artist and loved to sing, but she will be best remembered as being outgoing, kind, a dog lover, and one who never knew a stranger.
