My memories of Benny up at the Lake are happy ones. He was always there for all of us when we needed a hand. He and Rick were such good pals. I will miss him very much and will keep him in my prayers.

I could hardly wait every Friday evening for the sight of the station wagon heading to the cottage. My weekend buddy Benny had arrived.

The next 48 hours were the highlight of the week for me getting up with the sun & wandering down to see what projects Benny had for the weekend for me to "help" him with. His extreme patience putting up with me & all my questions is one of my fondest memories growing up.

Now 50+ years later, I'm still up with the sun working on some project around the house & I will frequently think of him. May he rest in peace, although he's probably up early in heaven looking for projects to do.

Bob & Zita, Judy and I send our deepest sympathy and condolences to your family in regards to your recent loss. We know how sad it is for your loss. Judy just lost her 2nd younger sister in less than ten years. Again, we send our condolences.

Dear Karen and Robert
Dick and I have fond memories of living next door to all of you many years ago on Los Angeles Avenue. I called Amy to tell her and she talked about how Ben had patiently helped her learn to swim. We also remember Ben encouraging her when she was learning to ride a two wheel bike. We will keep Ben and all of you in our prayers during this mourning period.
Fondly,
Dick and Barbara Kemper

I've only ever known Uncle Benny at Pine Lake, his happy place. He loved to watch his growing family enjoy themselves swimming, playing heated games of volleyball, or participating in the Pine Lake Olympics. I will miss my conversations with him very much. Summers at the lake won't be the same without him. Thinking of the Melvin family...love to you all! God Bless!

Benny's friends on Sunset Point, Pine Lake will truly miss him. He was a force who earned everyone's respect and trust. What a legacy he leaves behind...
