ELKHART — Keegan Cody Christl Black, 6, of Elkhart, passed away at 7:45 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, at the home of his aunt in Goshen following a lifelong disability.
He was born in Indianapolis on Feb. 26, 2008.
Surviving are his mother, Carol A. Black of Elkhart; sisters Tamie (Scott) Van Lue of New Carlisle, Kelly (Shawn) Bennett of Three Rivers, Mich., Miranda (Tim) LeMaster of St. Augustine, Fla., and Stephanie Davies, Letty Black, Carisa Black, Kellison Black, Anita Lloyd and Alexia Bennett, all of Elkhart; brothers Blake, Brad, Arick, Ishmael, Noah and Tanner Black, all of Elkhart; and biological parents Cody Christl and Lori Naylor and biological grandmother Angela Allen, all of Indianapolis.
Services will be held at Billings Funeral Home in Elkhart on Tuesday, Aug. 26, with visitation beginning an hour prior to the 7 p.m. funeral. Pastor Terry Cochran of the Three Crosses Ministries will officiate. Cremation will take place following the services.
Although Keegan was disabled from birth, he brought much joy to those who knew and cared for him. His bright smile and loving hugs will be cherished by friends and family alike.
Donations may be given in his memory in care of his mother, Carol.
