Sandra Scheuring

ELKHART — Sandra J. Scheuring, 74, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully at the Center for Hospice Care in Elkhart following an extended illness on Saturday, June 3, 2017.

Born in Elkhart on Dec. 6, 1942, to the late John and Wilma (Guss) Borosh, Sandra married Darell J. Scheuring in Elkhart on Sept. 19, 1964. He survives at home.

Also surviving are children Teresa Scheuring, John Borosh and Amy Smith; sister Anita Borosh, grandson Eric Longfellow, son-in-law Patrick Longfellow, niece Kathrine Wheeler and a host of extended family. 

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Margaret “Maggie” Longfellow.

A gathering of family and friends will take place at Billings Funeral Home from 4-6 p.m.Wednesday, June 7.

In accordance to her wishes, cremation will follow.

Sandra worked in the cafeteria for the Elkhart Community School system for 25 years. 

Memorial donations may be given to the Sandra J. Scheuring Memorial Fund c/o her husband, Darell.
