Robert L. "Larry" Pratt

ELKHART — 

Robert L. “Larry” Pratt, 69, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully at his home following an extended illness on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at 12:343 pm.

Larry was born Mar. 21, 1948 in San Diego, CA to the late William and Helen (Dobson) Pratt, and is survived at home by his wife Rheta S. (Martin) whom he married in Seattle, WA on Jan. 25, 1997.

Also surviving are sons Robert (Suzy) and William “Bud” Pratt; a daughter Barbara A. Pratt; siblings James Pratt and Joyce Jones, and a large and extended step family including Jeremiah, Katherine and Autumn, whom Larry loved very much.

A graveside service for Larry will be held at the Veteran’s Towers at Prairie Street Cemetery of Elkhart at 9:00 am on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017 with military honors being rendered by the USMC Funeral Honor Guard and the Elkhart County Marine Corps League. Memorial services will follow at 10:30 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3415 Pleasant Plain Ave, Elkhart with Bishop Richard Sessions officiating. Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart has been assisting the family with cremation arrangements.

Larry had worked for Greenhill School in the State of Washington for over 30 years. He was a member of the LDS Church (2nd Ward) in Elkhart and enjoyed working around the house and spending time with his family. 

Memorial donations may be given to the United Cancer Services of Elkhart County.
