ELKHART — Phyllis E. Kidder, 99, of Elkhart, passed to her rest, Sunday evening, Feb. 12, under the loving care of family.
Phyllis was born July 1, 1917, in Syracuse, to the late William and Inez Pearl (Oller) Kincaide.
She married Victor James Kidder on Nov. 22, 1937. Victor passed on Feb. 25, 1991.
Surviving are two grandchildren, Teresa Wargon and husband, Robert, and Susan Case and husband, James, both of Elkhart; great-grandchildren, Justin (Luce) Herrli, Meagan (Kent) Hovarter, Collin Case and fiancé Kaitlin Taylor and Caitlin Case, also her five great-great-grandchildren, Bayleigh, Owen, Wyatt, Landyn and Bronson.
In addition to her parents, and husband Victor, a daughter, Vicki Dubbert and son-in-law James Dubbert, brother Bruce Schneider and three sisters, Juanita Bowers, Laveda Pauley and Louise Dowell preceded her in death.
Phyllis retired from CTS Corp. after 30 years of service.
She was also a member of the CTS Quarter Century Club, a former life member of Grace United Methodist, now Faith United Methodist Church.
Phyllis loved living on Simonton Lake and all that went with lake living. She enjoyed playing scrabble, working word search and puzzles games.
Friends and family may call from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, celebration of life service for Phyllis, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart.
Pastor John Hogsett of Faith UMC will officiate.
Burial will follow in Rice Cemetery.
