Billings Funeral Home Invites Hospice to Open House

(Elkhart, Indiana) - 10/10/2007

“Tip Toe Through the Tulips with Billings” is the chosen theme to showcase the family owned and operated funeral home’s expansion projects and renovations through several personalized Open Houses beginning this month and continuing into next year’s spring, when indeed tulips will bloom once again.

Mr. Brad Billings, owner and funeral director states, “We are continually expanding our space and parking to accommodate families and friends that entrust us to serve them during their difficult time of loss.” Billings Funeral Home purchased the former Dixie Cream donut shop to become the new arrangement office and selection rooms and the lot to the north for additional parking. Remodeling efforts have included the new West Chapel and business offices.

“We purposely made our space a home that is not overdone, but is bright and comfortable, where families will warmly gather to share in the reflection of the life they are celebrating,” Toni Frank, Family Service Advisor, says. The first Open House, Thursday, October 25, 8:00 a.m. – 8:45 a.m., will invite all Hospice member volunteers to tour the facilities and enjoy a continental breakfast among Billings’ licensed professionals including three directors, a preplanning advisor, a family service advisor, a family after care specialist, and newest to the team, a funeral director intern. “We have chosen to firstly meet with these very special people who play such an important role to families of the terminally ill, recognizing their deeds and making them aware of our facilities and services,” Toni continues.

When Elkhart native Brad Billings started Billings Funeral Home in 1996, his desire was to answer a growing need for a funeral home dedicated to bringing affordability with a dignified service to the community. Serving all faiths and cemeteries in the greater Elkhart area, he remains focused on this objective and has enjoyed several local awards reinforcing his eleven years of specialized work.
